Completing ISP Ports for Contaminated Block Disconnects

At the request of the Industry Numbering Committee (INC), NANPA would like to remind Service Providers to protect their working TNs in their inventory, by entering the ISP ports in NPAC prior to submitting their thousands-block disconnect request in PAS. Failing to port working TNs can lead to service disruptions, including duplicate assignments.

A thousands- block may only be disconnected when the thousands-block does not contain more than 100 ported TNs. The 100 TN count includes the disconnecting SP’s ported TNs and all other ported TNs identified in NPAC to other SPs.

For more information, please refer to Sections 7.1.15, 7.1.16 and 17.2.5 of the Thousands-Block (NPA-NXX-X) & Central Office Code (NPA-NXX) Administration Guidelines. To access the current INC Guidelines located on the ATIS website, click here
